Testimonials

"Hello my name is Kate Ryan and I’m a Photographic artist who blends technical skill with deep creative vision. After retirement in 2013 I seized the opportunity to pursue my creative talents through the world of photography. This led me to finding ICM (Intentional Camera Movement) and eventually the Creative Family. My natural inclination is expressing emotions and stories with abstract vision using both the camera and software as my tools. The nonconformist manipulation of an image using the ICM technique coupled with an artistic eye allows anyone the freedom to create unique and innovative art. The Creative Family association fires up the mind and spirit - to take chances, to take risks, to let go of fears, to not judge what is right or wrong - whether you are behind the camera in the field or playing in post processing and editing. Alignment with this group is unmatched. The blending with this creative tribe, making new friends far and wide, receiving encouragement and support, and finding camaraderie through regular online meetings - has driven me to accomplish creative works I never anticipated or dreamt of achieving. My most recent project, a published art book titled “Stardust Lane”, would not have happened without the Creative Family, its connections and steady growth path put forth by Kaisa and Morag. "
